Harry qualified as a dentist from Trinity College, Dublin. Following this he worked as hospital dentist and as a dentist in general practice. In 1995 he completed a three-year specialist training programme in orthodontics and qualified from Trinity College as an orthodontic specialist. Since 2001 he has been looking after the people of Dublin 15 and surrounding areas. Harry and his wonderful team are passionate about orthodontics and creating beautiful smiles using the latest techniques. They aim to make orthodontic treatment as comfortable and pleasant as possible for each patient. The practice is run in a caring, professional and friendly manner. Harry and all his team are proud to work in such a dynamic, happy practice.

OUR SERVICES

Children, teenagers and adults are catered for with comprehensive orthodontic treatment solutions tailored to their individual needs. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a check up with an orthodontic specialist at no later than age 7, although most of the children we see are age 9 to 10 and older. If in doubt about any aspect of your child’s dental development, ring Annmarie or Liz on 01 8221618 for a consultation appointment. Often an early intervention can result in a more favourable orthodontic result in the longer term.

A full range of treatment for teenagers and adults is also available. Adult orthodontics has become increasingly popular in recent years and approximately one third of our patients are adults. The appearance of orthodontic appliances used in adult orthodontics has improved dramatically in recent years.

We have consistently kept our fees at a very competitive level and they compare favourably with fees quoted by other orthodontic practices. We offer a very attractive easy payment instalment system with 0% FINANCE. We take all major credit and debit cards. We aim to make financing orthodontic treatment as pain-free as possible!

TREATMENTS

GROWTH MODIFICATION

This technique involves promoting favourable growth of the lower jaw in pre-adolescent and adolescent children to improve their profile and their bite. This is usually done with a removable appliance called a Clark Twin Block. This treatment is ideally carried out during rapid phases of growth from approximately 12-14 years of age.

FIXED APPLIANCES

We provide fixed braces using the latest self-ligating brackets that have free sliding technology to move teeth faster than older types of brackets. This helps to avoid tooth extractions in the majority of patients. Examples of these brackets are DAMON, EMPOWER and IN-OVATION.

CERAMIC (CLEAR, AESTHETIC) APPLIANCES

Ceramic brackets are made of a translucent substance instead of metal so they are less noticeable. These brackets also use free sliding technology that reduces treatment time and they are especially suited to adults. Examples of these brackets are IN-OVATION C and ceramic Empower.

INVISALIGN

In suitable cases Invisalign treatment can be used. This involves wearing a series of almost invisible plastic aligners that gradually move the teeth. They are changed every two weeks, gently moving the teeth into the required position.invisalign braces dublin

INTERDISCIPLINARY CARE

Harry liaises with other specialists where necessary such as oral and maxillo-facial surgeons, oral surgeons, crown and bridge specialists, and gum specialists. Some patients will need minor oral surgery to uncover or remove a buried tooth. Other patients are missing teeth or have gum problems that need to be resolved. Occasionally patients need jaw surgery to correct their bite.
